About Us

At enpaK (Engagement, Participation et Kapasite), our mission is to improve the quality of life of individuals, families, and communities in Haiti by building capacities, strengthening local organizations, and promoting a culture of inclusion, dignity, and respect for human rights. We are a Haitian nonprofit organization, independent of political or religious affiliation, and officially recognized by the Haitian government. Since our founding in June 2010, we have committed ourselves to empowering communities by ensuring that all citizens, especially children, women, youth, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups, can realize their full potential and contribute meaningfully to the development of their society.

We believe that true development requires not only technical skills and resources but also the recognition of every individual’s rights and responsibilities as active citizens. Our mission is therefore rooted in capacity building: supporting grassroots organizations, civil society, and public institutions to improve their effectiveness, accountability, and impact. By providing training, mentorship, and organizational support, we ensure that local actors are equipped to design, implement, and sustain initiatives that directly respond to the needs of their communities.

Children remain at the heart of our mission. We advocate for and protect the rights of children, creating safe spaces where girls and boys can express their voices, participate in decisions, and defend their interests. We actively work to eliminate child labor, prevent violence against children, and promote education, equality, and empowerment so that every child can grow up free from discrimination and exploitation. Our programs integrate gender equality at every stage, ensuring that both girls and boys have equitable opportunities to thrive.

We also address some of Haiti’s most pressing challenges. We implement programs in disaster risk management, working with local and national authorities to strengthen resilience against natural hazards while ensuring that responses remain inclusive of women, men, and people with disabilities. We promote the social and economic inclusion of persons with disabilities, challenging stigma, advocating for accessibility, and strengthening their organizations so they can actively participate in community life. Through these efforts, we uphold the principle that development must leave no one behind.

To achieve these objectives, enpaK mobilizes resources through project proposals, service contracts, and partnerships with national and international organizations. Importantly, funds generated through service contracts are reinvested into our own community projects, ensuring sustainability and reinforcing our commitment to accountability and transparency. With over a decade of experience and millions of dollars in successfully managed initiatives, we have demonstrated both our financial discipline and our capacity for impact.

Our mission is guided by core values: respect for human rights, active citizenship, gender equality, transparency, and solidarity. These values shape every project we design and every partnership we pursue. They also guide our methodologies, which include gender analysis, participatory approaches, and inclusive communication strategies. By consistently integrating these principles, we foster not only stronger organizations but also more just and equitable communities.

Ultimately, enpaK’s mission is to build a Haiti where citizens, especially the most vulnerable, are not only beneficiaries of development but agents of change. We envision a future where communities are empowered, children are protected, women and men are equal partners, persons with disabilities are fully included, and resilience is strengthened against all forms of vulnerability. Through engagement, participation, and capacity, enpaK continues to walk alongside communities, committed to creating sustainable, transformative change that respects human dignity and uplifts every voice.
